Odoo KPIs: design a dashboard for decision-making

A strong Odoo dashboard is not defined by visual density but by decision utility. In many projects, reporting is abundant yet weakly actionable: data is available, but decisions are delayed and ownership is unclear.

Keep KPI design anchored to business goals. Each indicator should answer three questions: what signal it provides, who owns it, and what action is triggered if it drifts outside target range.

Examples of decision-grade KPIs

Cadence matters as much as metric choice. Weekly operational reviews plus monthly decision forums create alignment between short-term corrections and strategic trajectory.

For clients and prospects, a concise and governed KPI framework is often more persuasive than a broad reporting layer. It demonstrates execution maturity and accountability.

A useful dashboard is a decision system, not a presentation artifact.
